New Music Monday Presents: Jason Howard aka Wavy J

One our FIRST submissions from a singer who our very own “Goal Digger” Key went on about and  so I went and took a listen. Wavy J, real name. Jason Howard is a young 22 year old male singer from Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
He sings songs, writes poetry, produces, and he can rap. Singing since he was 10 and spitting the rhymes since 15, J (I’m gonna call him J) wrote his first song ever in 10th grade and it was called “What’s Going On” but it was never recorded.

Wavy J’s music is definitely a sensual sound that us ladies appreciate from our R&B…which brings up his first song that featured his friend Courtney J called “Ladies Appreciation”. You can find his music here:http://www.reverbnation.com/wavyj

He says he wants his music to change and help they way we think and feel. He hopes that some (not all) his music conveys some sort of message that can affect a person’s life. For now he’s will continue as an indie artist until he is signed to a major label. “I feel that being signed to a major label will give me a larger platform to express my work. I plan to have a long career, no "One Hit Wonder" ha ha” J said. He wants his listeners to know that his music is sincerely from his hear and he would not record a song unless his heart was really in it.

So what’s next for wavy J? He has a solo EP coming out for us at the end of the summer, entitled "Back To The Essence" He says in this go round he will be displaying a closer scope of himself  and targeting R&B stereotypes. It'll be available on DatPiff, HotNewHipHopl LiveMixtapes, and of course we will let the people know more about that when it is time.

His advice to other indie artist: “As an indie artist, my advice to those who seek becoming one is to use this time to soak up as much knowledge/experience you can. Take any creative chance you can imagine, try to find YOUR sound, and most importantly, take advantage of ANY opportunity that comes your way, because it's someone out there who will take it for you.”

Last message to anyone else and Goal Diggers Team from Wavy J:

“ I just want to simply S/O to My family, friends, and EVERYONE who has been supporting me, this is only the beginning. As far as you guys, keep doing what you're doing, because any small step can accumulate into giant leaps!”

 Goal Digger,

Nisey
